Wade S.C. Newell, CPA, Named Partner at Firm

HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA, January 1, 2010-    It is with great pleasure that the Partners of Somerville & Company, P.L.L.C., Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, announce that Wade S. C. Newell, CPA and Associate, has been named a Partner at the firm.    

As Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Auditing Division, Wade will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of all Somerville & Company, P.L.L.C. Review and Audit services.  He will ensure that all services are conducted in the most effective manner possible and that the firm is continually exceeding client’s expectations through communication, responsiveness and thoroughness.  Wade has extensive experience in providing auditing, accounting, tax and consulting services to a variety of clients.  He specializes in performing audits for non-profit and manufacturing organizations.  Wade is a member of Somerville & Company, P.L.L.C.’s Technology Committee and provides computer and information technology consulting services to clients with certifications as a Microsoft Office Specialist and QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Wade holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Marshall University.  He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of West Virginia and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Wade serves on the Accounting & Assurance Committee with CPA Associations International, Inc. and recently served as Past President and Board Member of the Huntington Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Outside of the office, Wade serves as Treasurer for his church, and also works with the church youth group.  You may reach Wade by phone at (304) 525-0301 or email wade.newell@s-co.com.
